My artistic research, inspired by scientific methods and reflections, finds its expression in installations that stage sculptures, drawings, photographs and props in a fictitious narration and place, which mix realism and fantasy. From 2016 on, the ecological commitment in my artistic practice led me to develop a performative and a participatory expression, combined with drawing and sculpture. Many of my works question the new visions of the living as a technological resource, while others analyse the links in cause-and-effect chains concerning degradation / preservation of the environment in the Anthropocene. My approach in this field of research is particularly sensitive to ethical issues. Ethics is for me closely connected to the emotional aspects of our relationship with nature and with our own body. I explore questions such as how we deal with our fears and feelings of powerlessness in the face of climate change and the mass-extinction of species. My underlying motivation is to investigate how a low tech input can result in significant positive impacts on the environment and our well-being.
Another area of research concerns theories of space in its unstable, random and flexible dimensions. My abstract and geometrical, two or three dimensional works architectonically explore space as a playground for theory and for imagination.
